A lot of people have compared the H9F to the x950g last year with the sony being slightly better (I have seen arguments both ways). I have an X950g now with brightness all the way low but I have zero light getting in that room. I'm thinking of buying 55inch TV and up to today I was almost certain I'd get Sony. The X950G is still a better deal, IMO. There's a bit of a price difference so I'm leaning towards the G right now. Not for this use anyway. My advice is to wait for X90J as it will be available in Jeez. It's a shame that Danny's left X950g is slightly better than the X900f and will have better Android performance and eARC. I really wanted to jump on OLED at the time but it was barely outside of my price range. I understand that "issue - post online" thing but so far I haven't got any serious issues apart from the wonky arc (using toslink atm which works flawlessly) and dts cutting out from internal apps like plex (using my pc connected to the set now). I have the X950G and im super happy with it. That's one area where the X950G benefits from being slightly higher-end. The price has dropped on the x950G 75". No technology is perfect. Primary lighting is led high hats on a dimmer that is always toward the dimmer side. but the 940E has better blacks, more dimming zones, and I think it's brighter. You miss out on some peak brightness, but still has much better local dimming than the X950G.
